What are the 5 types of research?

There are 5 types of scientific research according to the nature of the study content:

  1. Pure scientific research: It is a type of scientific research that is interested in the study of chemistry, physics, mathematics and astronomy, and help to achieve a comprehensive academic renaissance.
  2. Social research: It is concerned with the study of social sciences such as sociology, psychology and philosophy.
  3. Economic research: This relates to economic and administrative development and all branches of business and finance, and helps to increase financial savings and productivity.
  4. Geographical and historical research: Geographical research is concerned with studying the nature of climatic conditions, topography, seas and oceans. Historical research is concerned with the study of human history in a particular era, and therefore the nature of that stage, and the events that characterize it.
  5. Religious research: It is concerned with the religions and the surrounding rules and legislations.

What are the 3 types of Qualitative research?

The types of qualitative research vary depending on the way in which the researchers collect information in scientific research.

First: Qualitative research that depends on the interview

Interview is one of the main ways to gather information in qualitative research. Through the interview method, the researcher can identify the thoughts, feelings and perspectives of others. This method also enables the researcher to reconstruct social events that are not directly observed.

Second: Qualitative research based on observation

The second basic method of gathering information in qualitative research is observation. A remarkable history in the social sciences. They are particularly important in educational research. Many of the educational attitudes need to be observed by the researcher in normal and record what he sees and hear what is going on in her normal daily life. In this way, the researcher does not interfere in the affairs of the category to be examined, as in some research methods, but observes what is actually going on in the normal situation.

Third: Qualitative research based on analysis of documents

The third basic way to gather information in qualitative research is to analyze documents. Historical or recent documents are an important source of qualitative educational research. It is the characteristics of modern society documentation. The reports written by the educational supervisors every year, the instructions they write in the records of the schools when they visit, and the reports of teachers and experts from the reports, research and observations, and official reports and directives issued. But what students might write in construction lessons or in their letters to teachers. All of these are important documents for the researcher and can be studied and analyzed to reach important and useful results.

What is the questionnaire in the qualitative research?

The questionnaire is defined as a tool of qualitative research, which is widely used in research papers and studies. It is primarily aimed at obtaining information on people's conditions, attitudes, and inclinations. The questionnaire is usually conducted by putting a number of questions by the researcher in a coherent manner in which he seeks to reach the goal of research. The questionnaire enables the researcher to set the number of questions he wants to reach the desired result.

What are the types of questionnaire?

  1. Closed questionnaire: A questionnaire in which the answers are restricted. The questionnaire is answered with the word yes or no. This questionnaire is one of the best types of questionnaires. It shortens the time, and does not require a great effort from the researcher to show the result, and the disadvantages are that the participant may not find the answer he is looking for.
  2. Open Questionnaire: The answer to this type of questionnaire is free.
  3. Closed-ended questionnaire: It is a combination of the two previous types, as it contains questions specific answers, and open-ended answer which is the best types of questionnaire because it gets rid of the flaws of the previous two types.
  4. Questionnaire illustrated: A questionnaire dedicated to illiterate people and children. The researcher puts questions in the form of images and forms instead of writing.

What are the three kinds of questions used in the questionnaire?

Types of questions included in the questionnaire:

  1. Demographic questions: The aim is to identify the characteristics and characteristics of the sample, such as age, gender, marital status, number of children, place of residence and income.
  2. Multiple choice questions: The answer to the selection of one of the answers proposed.
  3. Open questions: to give members of the free sample to express their views, so that everyone can use their own words. It usually comes in another questionnaire.
