  2. Read the article or report again, paying attention to the appropriate questions for each stage of the cash process.

The main Elements in the Research Critique

  • The required elements in a Critique are thought to be a set of questions that needs to be addressed when critiquing research.
  • The questions that have just been discussed are designed in order to critique quantitative research. While the Critique of qualitative research needs additional focus.
  • Qualitative researchers study issues and phenomena in their natural environments, trying to understand or explain phenomena in relation to the concept that other bring to them.

Like the recipe, describing the materials will allow others to repeat the study elsewhere if necessary. It should contain both the specifications specified for the selection criteria, their size, response rate and related statistics. This will show how the study is able to satisfy its objectives.

The following are the main considerations in this regard:

  • What kind of sampling technique and size was used?
  • What percentage of the eligible sample participated?
  • Were all eligible groups participated in the research?
  • What are the strengths?
  • What are the weaknesses?
  • Were the reliability and validity of the study threatened?
  • How was the reliability and validity controlled?
  • Were there any apparent biases?
  • If an experiment was conducted, was it randomized, controlled?

Sometimes the barrier are harder, or even impossible to be crossed. The difficulties in communications may arise even though the interpreter is available.

Academic critiquing

Academic critiquing is linked to the evaluation and examination of other studies. The professionalism in academic critiquing of investigating the study really depends on the reader's skills. Academic critiquing is simply an attempt by the reader to understand the scientific contribution of a study.

Academic critiquing of research has rules and regulations that enable the ability to master the academic critiquing of any scientific paper or study in a scientific and orderly manner.

The academic critiquing is similar to re-conceiving the study subjected to scrutiny and seeking to know the bases of  academic critiquing of research.
